Partner
The Dignità in Campo project owes its success to the active participation, commitment, and passion of institutions and bodies at the national and local levels.
It was conceived according to the Protocol against labour exploitation in agriculture and illegal hiring, signed on 27 May 2016 by the Ministry of Labour, the Ministry of the Interior, and the Ministry of Agricultural Policies, Regions, and Social Partners.
In 2018, to achieve the objectives outlined in the Protocol, the Ministry of Labour and Social Policies partnered with the ITCILO to launch a process focused on prevention as an approach to addressing labour exploitation in agriculture, following the indications of Protocol 29 of the ILO (June 2014).
In Saluzzo and Syracuse, the following partners were involved: civil society (trade unions, Confagricoltura, Coldiretti, Confcooperative, Legacoop, Cia); government officials (Saluzzo and Syracuse); bilateral institutions (FAVLA in Saluzzo and EBAT in Syracuse); the Piedmont labour agency, the provincial labour office in Syracuse, the prefecture of Syracuse, and the labour inspectorate of Syracuse. In both territories, there was a balanced participation of the private sector: Caritas, Diaconia Valese in Saluzzo, and Arci and Associazione Proxima in Syracuse.
